For quite some time, I’ve felt a deep desire to explore the Book of Job more thoroughly. As the new year began, I decided it was the perfect opportunity to read through the Bible again and take some notes. A wonderful resource, The Bible Recap by Tara-Leigh Cobble, was shared with me. It’s a one-year guide to reading through the Bible chronologically, so I purchased it and embarked on my journey.
After finishing Genesis 1-11, I found that Job is the next book to read chronologically. True to my nature, when I’m eager to dive deep into a subject, I immerse myself fully. I read the scriptures in various translations, underlining key verses, circling important words and phrases, and journaling about what I feel the Holy Spirit is revealing to me. I also enjoy discovering insights from others. Some of my favorite commentaries include Dr. Tony Evans, my Life Application Study Bible, and gotquestions.org. Now, I’m excited to gain new insights from The Bible Recap as well.
Would you like to join me on this journey of exploration and journaling as I seek knowledge and understanding in the Book of Job?
I truly hope you’ll share your insights with me. I’m not a Bible scholar—just a girl who loves Jesus. For those of you who are theologians, pastors, or just a learner of The Word, your knowledge and perspective would be greatly appreciated. You can comment on my social media posts so that others can read as well, or send me your insights to stephanie @soakinguptheson.com
Blessings to you and yours,
Stephanie
