In the name of Jesus, I THANK YOU! You, God and You, my friends of “Soaking Up The Sun”. God told me to do so in Ephesians 5:20, “Always give thanks to God the Father for everything in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
You have given the website its BME! It’s the Best Month Ever (in the site’s six months) in number of visits and unique visitors to the website. (The month of April gets a shout out for the most number of pages read in one month. Yeah, April!)
You, my sweet friends, keep me accountable for reading my scriptures each day and journaling about what God has led on my heart and crazy mind. Accountability is a good thing.
Just yesterday Holly and I were listening to the radio and a commercial came on about having a “good start to your day”. Holly asked me, did you have a good start to your day? I said with a smile, “Absolutely! I started it off with Jesus!”
This is my second year reading the bible through in a year. What will happen to the site at the end of the year? Who knows? Whatever God has planned is fine with me. His plans are always so much better than mine anyhow. It may be for me to read through the bible again and keep journaling, or just periodically write a devotional. I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it.
PLEASE do me one thing, well …besides keep reading, commenting, and get your heart right with God! Please do as 1 Thessalonians 5:21 says to do, “but test everything that is said. Hold on to what is good.” Test it how? Read the bible yourself. Dive into the Word and make sure I’m NOT saying anything out of context. I sooo do not want to do God’s word wrong.
