Wow! That’s what I have to say about today’s “Walking in the Word”. Let me start off by saying, do what Proverbs 19:20 told us to do, “Listen to advice and accept instruction, and in the end you will be wise.” Listen to my advice: PLEASE GO READ THE SCRIPTURES FROM TODAY AND LET IT ALL SOAK IN.
It is just too much for me to type. My mind is racing with thoughts from the reading today.
In 2 Chronicles 31:11-33:13 we see how living a life for God is rewarding, and also that it is never too late to turn to God. Just make sure you do it now because we don’t know how long we each have. Live for God!
In Romans 1:24-2:16, boy oh boy did Paul bring it on! He listed tons of wrongs; including greed, gossiping, disobeying your parents, and homosexuality just to name a few. Then, right when you start judging, OUCH! you’re not off the hook. Verses 3-4 say, “You did’t think did you that just by pointing your finger at others you would distract God from seeing all you misdoings and from coming down on you hard? Or did you think that because He’s such a nice God, He’s letting you off the hook? Better think this one through from the beginning. God is kind, but He’s not soft. In kindness He takes us firmly by the hand and leads us into a radical life-change.” (I love that….He is kind yet firm. That reminds me of the discipline blog from yesterday.) Then in verse 6 it says, “God will give to each person according to what he has done.” Yikes! That’s one dvd I sure hope God isn’t playing on the big screen for all to see when I show up at the Pearly Gates.
Psalms 92:8-15 reminds us that God is good. Can I get an “Amen!”?
That’s it. That’s all you’re getting from me today. I hope you will let me encourage you, like Paul did in his writings, and inspire you to dive in God’s word today.
Blessings to you all!
