Oh my! As soon as I read today’s scripture in Galatians 2, I closed my eyes, threw my head back, and started singing (in my scratchy, sore throat voice) the song that mimics verses 20 and 21.  Hear, listen:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_0_1jazh454&feature=related I believe I’ve probably posted this song before. I love it!
Paul is writing to us saying that he tried to live by the law and work hard to please God, but it didn’t work. In the Message translation he says in verse 19, “So I quit being a “law man” so that I could be God’s man.”  Yes!  I want to be a God’s girl.  Wait a minute; I am a God’s Girl!  Woohoo!  I have Christ in me so that makes me His.
Galatians 2:20-21 says, “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!”
Christ didn’t die for nothing.  He died for you and me!  Following the law isn’t what gets you to heaven.  It is all about your relationship with Christ.  It’s real.  It’s personal.  It’s amazing!
When we live for God, our ego is no longer the central thing; He is.
Center your life around God and be a God’s Girl or God’s Man.
Blessings to you.
