I love my family!
“Parents rejoice when their children turn out well;
wise children become proud parents.
So make your father happy!
Make your mother proud!”
I am a proud mother who is rejoicing in her children!
Do Tim and I expect great things from them? Yes. Do we get disappointed in decisions sometimes that they make? Yes. Are we so grateful for our three children and very proud of them? Absolutely!
Life is like a rollercoaster ride when it comes to raising children. I may scream and yell with emotions of frustration and joy, and also raise my hands in praise and open arms full of love. It is a ride I am enjoying, and grateful I have the opportunity to partake in.
When I read Proverbs 23:24-25 today, my mind raced with the ups and downs we’ve already experienced, and know there are many more twists and turns to embrace. I also thought, “I am going to post this in Hunter, Holly, and Cole’s rooms and bathroom.”
Do you think God is rejoicing in His children and the way they turned out? Do you think He thinks we are making wise decisions?
I know I’m always a work in progress, but I sure hope God is smiling down on this child of His.
“The father of a righteous child has great joy;
a man who fathers a wise son rejoices in him.
May your father and mother rejoice;
may she who gave you birth be joyful!”
