Stop and Praise

Psalm 96:1-9

 Sing a new song to the Lord!
Let the whole world sing to the Lord!
2 Sing to the Lord and praise his name!
Tell the good news every day about how he saves us!
3 Tell all the nations how wonderful he is!
Tell people everywhere about the amazing things he does.
4 The Lord is great and worthy of praise.
He is more awesome than any of the “gods.”
5 All the “gods” in other nations are nothing but statues,
but the Lord made the heavens.
6 He lives in the presence of glory and honor.
His Temple is a place of power and beauty.
7 Praise the Lord, all people of every nation;
praise the Lord’s glory and power.
8 Give the Lord praise worthy of his glory!
Come, bring your offerings into his courtyard.
9     Worship the Lord in all his holy beauty.
Everyone on earth should tremble before him.
I will!  I will praise God for…

  • The new morning He’s given me to hopefully bring glory and honor to Him.
  • The family He’s given to me to always love them unconditionally, even during those moments when I may not “like” them.
  • The job He’s provided for me, even on those days I want to stay home.
  • The co-workers I have the opportunity to work with and serve.
  • The students who will be in my class this year, even when I may not remember their full name.
  • The friends God has surrounded me by.
  • The roof He’s made available to me to keep me protected from the weather.
  • The opportunities to travel and see He’s awesome creation.
  • Wonderful, godly parents who’ve helped mold me into the woman I am today.
  • My husband, whom I call my “Man of Integrity”, who loves me and makes me laugh.
  • My children.  May they desire to know and grow in Christ more each day.  I love them!
  • The salvation God has given to me through His Son, Jesus Christ.
  • The strength and peace He’s given to my family each day through an emotional and tough summer.

Praising God could go on and on.  The list is endless of the many blessings He’s afforded to me.
Stop and praise Him for the great and small things that God has given you today.
Blessings and God’s abundant love to all.

Praise God for my husband and children.
