My man on a previous hunting trip.

“Good morning. I love you.”
As I sat here reading the scriptures this morning three little words that I read just stuck in my head, “I am Yours”.
“I am yours…” Psalm 119:94a
I continued reading the selected verses in Jeremiah, Proverbs, and 2 Timothy. I was asking God to speak to me and through me.  A couple of topics came to mind to write about, but the words, “I am Yours” kept ringing in my head.
Well, that wasn’t the only thing ringing.  When I went back to reread those three little words again, my phone rang.  My man is away in Georgia hunting and I never know when I will hear from him.  Sometimes there is phone service, and sometimes there isn’t.  I was so giddy (really, like a little school girl with her first crush) when I answered.  All he said was, “I don’t know how long I have, so good morning and I love you.”  I barely got the reciprocating words out of my mouth, when he lost service. His phone call comforted me and put a smile on my face.
Ahhhh, that may have been Tim calling, but it was God reminding me in another way, “I am Yours”.
Tim is mine and I am his.  We are both children of the One True King.  We are His.
I am proud to say that I am Tim’s, and completely honored to say that I am God’s.
Tim’s words stand true in other ways as well.  We don’t know how long we truly have here on this earth, so tell and show the ones you love that you love them.  Share God’s love with others so that they can also say to him, “I am Yours”.
I am God’s! Now, that is comforting, and it puts a huge smile on my face to be secure in knowing that truth.
Blessings and God’s abundant love to y’all.
