I walked by my front window this morning and saw this beautiful site. It is going to be a glorious day!
Do you just love a good secret? How about mysteries? Do you wish you could get a glimpse into the future and know what “the plan” is? Well, I’ve got a good one for you.
Well, actually it’s not a secret anymore. Some”One” told already. But boy oh boy is it still a good one! It’s one that gives us hope and something to look forward to in a wondrous way.
When I read the plan this morning, I just couldn’t help but smile. It was such a great read that I had to read more. I wanted more. Hmmm, that’s what God does…He shows us a glimpse, and makes us thirst for more.
I’m supposed to share this secret/not-so-secret with you, so here you go:
“God has now revealed to us His mysterious plan regarding Christ, a plan to fulfill His own good pleasure. 10 And this is the plan: At the right time He will bring everything together under the authority of Christ—everything in heaven and on earth.” Ephesians 1:9-10(click on the verse to read the whole chapter!)
Want a little more? Here: “Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for He chose us in advance, and He makes everything work out according to His plan.” (verse 11)
Oh, and this…“when you believed in Christ, He identified you as His own” (verse 13b)
Just one more… “The Spirit is God’s guarantee that He will give us the inheritance He promised and that He has purchased us to be His own people. He did this so we would praise and glorify Him.” (verse 14)
Here’s some highlights:
- God had a plan, and He has now shared it with us.
- He takes pleasure in this grand plan.
- God knows the right time for Christ’s return. (That’s one secret He is keeping to Himself, but it will happen. Why? Because God does what He says He will do!)
- You were chosen by God.
- Everything will work out according to His plan (maybe not yours, but God’s plan is so much better.)
- You are His when you believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Savior.
- You are rich! It’s a guarantee. You will receive an inheritance from the Creator of the heavens and earth.
- God makes a promise and He keeps it.
- We need to give ALL the glory and praise to Him in all we say and do!
Now, I think that’s a secret we all should share. It just makes me all giddy inside imagining the magnificent things that God has in place for me.
