Ladies, I have the man of your dreams here. Check out His checklist:
- Comforter.
- Trusting.
- Hospitable.
- A man of His word.
- Planner.
- Sees things to the end.
- Chauffer.
- Desires to be near you.
Gentlemen, you can apply these to a lady as well, and we can all apply this list to the best friend ever award. I mean, really, who wouldn’t desire for a person of these characteristics to be by their side? And these only scratch the surface.
Well, this list describes Jesus Christ. Here’s what John 14:1-4 says:
“Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am. And you know the way to where I am going.”
When I read this it also made me think about two dreams that I’ve had about my mother-in-law. In both instances she said to me, “We’re busy preparing for y’all.” Well, if God’s got Jany helping Him decorate, I know it will be beautiful.
Friend, if you want to go with Jesus when He returns, make sure you know the way. Go ahead and ask like Thomas did in John 14:5, and read Christ’s reply in verse six:
- Thomas said, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?” Jesus answered, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. The only way to the Father is through me.
He is the only way!
