“You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. 15 No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.” Matthew 5:14-16
Well, as a new month begins, and the storm clouds seem to consume most of our Florida days, allow me to remind you of something…YOU are the light of the world.
Go be the sunshine that someone needs to see today.
Pay for a stranger’s meal.
Purchase an extra umbrella and go give it to someone who seems to be without one.
Pray for that person who walks by you with a concerned look on their face, and give them a sweet grin while you’re at it.
Give a high-five to someone just for smiling.
Hug your friends and family.
Call, text, send a message, or mail a postcard to someone to just let them know you prayed for them today.
Don’t let this gloomy weather get you down, do something for someone else and it will make you feel great and…be the LIGHT that God intended you to be. Go, and get your SHINE ON!
I pray many blessings and much joy for you! Have a wonderful day. – Stephanie
