You and I have a job to do.
Just because you become a Christian doesn’t mean that you will have the perfect life (at least not yet…Heaven is near). It doesn’t imply that we will always do or say the right thing, act in a loving manner, and never have evil thoughts. But…what it does is allows us access to great wisdom and knowledge via Jesus Christ.
So what is our job? We must work:
- at being right with God
- on striving to live a God-like life
- pursuing faith and displaying love to others
- having patience
- on being courteous and gentle with others.
Work at being right with God. Live a God-like life. Have faith and love. Be willing to wait. Have a kind heart. 12 Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the life that lasts forever. 1 Timothy 6:11b-12a NLV
We may not earn a monetary reward, but great is your reward in Heaven. (Matthew 5:12)
Get busy doing your job.
