There’s so much more to Jonah than just the story we always hear about him being in the belly of a great fish for three days.

When you read all four chapters of Jonah, you may discover that you’re not too different from him. Why? Because although he had a closeness with God, he was fully human. He experienced: selfishness, selflessness, running from God, running to God, obedience, disobedience, being pouty with God, knowing God’s character, to stubbornness. His journey is like a rollercoaster of life.

We see the ups and downs of Jonah, but we see the consistency of our steadfast Lord. God’s mercy, kindness, slow to anger, unfailing love, provision, and protection is on full display.

Join me as I point out some of these up and down moments of Jonah in a quick review of this book of the bible that we need to learn much from.

I pray that you will take comfort in knowing God’s plan for you is best. Remember that our actions do not only affect us, but others around us. So, be wise and seek and follow Christ. He truly causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them. (Romans 8:28)

Blessings to you and yours,

Stephanie
