Do you have a decision to make?

When the story of Jesus’ birth is read, we often read from the book of Luke. Yet, today I was led to read the brief synopsis captured in Matthew.

In these verses (Matthew 1:18-23), Joseph found himself in a predicament. He thought he only had two choices in dealing with his quandary; to quietly break his engagement with Mary or (as it was the Jewish custom to do) have her stoned to death. You can tell that Joseph was torn because he didn’t act hastily, he decided to sleep on it. While sleeping, Joseph received clarification and confirmation on a third option…the best option…God’s will. Joseph chose God’s will and prophecy was fulfilled.

So, let me ask the aforementioned question again, “Do you have a decision to make?”

I want to encourage you to do as Joseph did and sleep on it. God IS with you. He wants to hear your request and guide you in the right direction. Seek Him and all will be well.

Blessings to you and yours,

Stephanie
