Troubles and trials will come our way in life; God has made that clear. When they do, we must hold fast to His word.
Right now, a family member is battling the grim “C” word. During my prayer time this morning, I felt compelled to seek scripture and transform it into a prayer for our specific situation. God’s word is alive and active; His truth resonates with each of us, regardless of our circumstances.
I want to share these scriptures and prayers so that you can use them in your own life. Prayer is powerful, and our Heavenly Father is always listening.
I looked up twelve scriptures. Here are the first three:
O Lord my God, I cried to you for help, and you restored my health. Psalm 30:2
Lord, I come to You, my heart heavy yet filled with hope. As I seek complete healing, I find solace in Your presence. The struggle between facing reality and holding on to godly hope is a constant battle for me. The weight of my situation is undeniable in my humanity, but I yearn to lean on Your promises and trust You for a miracle.
Even in the midst of confusion, I place my trust in You. I claim restoration and complete healing over my circumstances, grateful for the provision and mending You offer me—mentally, physically, and spiritually.
Thank You for sustaining my faith during these challenging times and for hearing my prayers for health restoration.
I love You, Lord. Amen.

Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding. He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Isaiah 40:28-29
Lord, You are almighty and all-powerful, never growing weak or weary. I needed to hear these words today. There are no limits to what You can achieve. In moments when I feel weak and incapable, I trust that You will strengthen me. Please invigorate me now with Your power to endure my struggles. Thank You, dear Jesus. Amen.

Do any of you need wisdom? Ask God for it. He is generous and enjoys giving to everyone. So he will give you wisdom. James 1:5
Lord, You have instructed me to ask for wisdom, and here I am before You. Please grant me discernment, for I have decisions to make at every turn. Help me to understand Your will and use me for Your purpose. Guide me in the direction You desire for me to go, and clarify the words and actions I should take. Thank You for Your wisdom. Amen.
As you walk into this new year…have scripture with you and turn it into a prayer.
Blessings to you and yours,
Stephanie
Please remember my brother (Mike) and sister-in-love (Jan) in your prayers as God is walking with her through her happenstance with cancer.
