When I read the end of Mark 6, the vision and sound of the church that I grew up in came to mind (Welcome Baptist Church). My parents were in a sextet. They would sing often during church, revivals, funerals, “dinner on the grounds”…. One of the songs that my mom would sing was “He Touched Me” by the Gaithers.
We repeatedly read in the bible about how Jesus touched someone to heal them, or how people would reach out to touch just the edge of His coat to receive a healing. Well, He still heals and touches today. (Thank You, Jesus!)
We may feel shackled by sins, past and/or present, and be filled with disgrace. But, don’t give up or give in, Jesus is still in the healing business. Let Him reveal Himself to you and discover a joy, peace, and freedom like never before. Once you have Christ in your life, do like the song says and “never cease to praise Him.” Have a sensational Saturday.

Shackled by a heavy burden,
‘Neath a load of guilt and shame.
Then the hand of Jesus touched me,
And now I am no longer the same.

He touched me, Oh He touched me,
And oh the joy that floods my soul!
Something happened and now I know,
He touched me and made me whole.

Since I met this blessed Savior,
Since He cleansed and made me whole,
I will never cease to praise Him,
I’ll shout it while eternity rolls.

He touched me, Oh He touched me,
And oh the joy that floods my soul!
Something happened and now I know
He touched me and made me whole.
