Philippians 4:6-7, “Don’t worry about anything, but pray and ask God for everything you need, always giving thanks for what you have. And because you belong to Christ Jesus, God’s peace will stand guard over all your thoughts and feelings. His peace can do this far better than our human minds”
I’m so proud of my precious sixth graders.  They have worked so hard to prepare for their semester exam.  Now the time has come for them to justify what they know.
As I walk around the classroom making sure all are focusing and doing their best, I can’t help but see the determination on their faces.  I’m so proud of how they are working out their problems (math) and going back over their work checking for reasonableness.
Four reminders I give them are to:

  • Read the question carefully
  • Use process of elimination
  • Check for reasonableness
  • Re-check your answers again and erase any stray marks.

When I glance at these reminders, we can apply these to our own lives daily as well.  How?  When we have situations, “test”ings, or decisions in our life to make we should:

  • Always turn to God first and read His word carefully.  The bible is our instruction book for life.  Do you want to know how to live and do right?  Read it carefully.
  • The choices you have to make may appear difficult or even similar.  Look at them wisely. The right choice just may jump out and appear right in front of you.
  • Once you believe you’ve made the right choice, always check for reasonableness.  Is the choice a solid option that will put a smile on God’s face?
  • When you feel, believe, know-to-know, etc. that you’ve made the best decision, always check again with God.  Pray it up.  Give it all to Him.

Blessings to you.
