Day 11 of 2020 journaling thoughts may read a little different.  You see, today I read these verses with our youngest son in mind.  Today he is officially an adult. Cole is a 6’2” handsome young man, who is strong in his convictions.  I pray that he will always seek God with all his heart, soul, mind, and strength.
There were times I had to laugh, moments of similarities in Cole’s life, and read words that were convicting. Reading scripture with someone specific in mind was interesting.  I look forward to see how I’ll see things when I read for Hunter and Holly in mind.
This reminded me…my dear dear friend, Tommy Warnock, told me that a good idea is to purchase a bible, read it through in a year with a specific person in mind, take notes in it, and give it to them as a gift when finished.  Cool idea!
I hope and pray that today’s journaling will be encouraging to not only Cole, but to you as well.
Genesis 24:52-26:16
*The LORD will make your mission successful when you stay on his course in life.
*I pray that Cole will be wise in his decisions regarding the woman God has planned for him to love and respect. God does have that special someone waiting for that special one day.
*It is written that Abraham lived a long and satisfying life.  I pray that for Cole.
*haha. I had to laugh because I’m focusing my thoughts on Cole while reading and it said that Isaac had twins.  Well, twins run in Tim’s family and mine. Tim’s mom (Jany) was a twin (brother Johnny), and I have twin brothers (Kevin and Mike).  If Cole does have twins though, I sure hope they are more like Jany, Johnny, Kevin, and Mike. They got/get along great! Unlike Isaac and Rebekah’s boys,Jacob and Easu.
*Y’all, for me, family is such a blessing.  I adore my siblings, and have the utmost respect for them. We drove one another crazy at times, but with maturity, our love and respect for each other only grows. I pray that Hunter, Holly, and Cole will have the special bond that Tim and I both have with our siblings. Have each other’s back. Support one another. Grow in Christ together.
*Isaac obviously continued with the same exact lie that his father did when he deceived others and claimed his wife as his sister. I pray that Cole will learn from, and not repeat the sins of his parents. Like Beth Moore has mentioned in one of her bible studies…if you don’t have to take the field trip yourself, learn from others’ mistakes (something like that).
*I do hope, and see, Cole being very successful in life. May others see his success as completely from God, and may Cole give God all the glory and honor.
Matthew 8:18-34
*It is my desire for Cole to follow Christ. It will not always be easy, and friendships may dissipate, but following Christ is of the greatest value.
*God can and will calm the storms in life. Don’t be afraid, He is with you.
*Even demons obeyed Jesus. I pray that Cole will obey the Lord.
Psalm 10:1-15
*Never be too proud to seek God.
*God sees everything. He is watching over you.
*Like the author of the commentary in my study bible writes, “don’t let wealth become your obsession.” Seek wisdom.
Proverbs 3:7-8
*Don’t trust in your own wisdom, but fear and respect the Lord and stay away from evil. If you do this, it will be like a refreshing drink and medicine for your body.
Proverbs 3:7-8 Amen

HAPPY 18TH BIRTHDAY to you, Cole.  Dad and I are so proud of the young man you’ve become, and are excited to see what God has planned for you.  Stay strong in the Lord. Be humble, kind, compassionate, and forgiving. May others see Christ in you and be motivated to seek God themselves.   We love love love you! Mom and Dad.
Blessings to you and yours,
Stephanie
