super glueI am so grateful for God.  Just sayin’.
Yesterday morning was the third day of waking up for school.  For me, it was rough.   The alarm went off and I just wanted to stayed curled up in my comfy bed, with the blanket over my head, and keep sleeping.  I wasn’t the only one.  Holly was dragging this third morning as well.
But then a thought came to my mind, “It’s the third day.  Jesus went through a heck of a lot more than me and He rose again on the third day.”  Whew!  This got me up and moving.  I knew God was with me, and with Christ I can do anything. (Philippians 4:13, I can do all this through Him who gives me strength.”)
And then…this morning I was lying in bed thinking about all that needed (or I wanted) to get accomplished today.  My thoughts were bathed in prayer, and I could feel God’s strength getting me motivated to start my day.
Finally, I went to read my verse-for-the-day and I just couldn’t get enough.  One verse wasn’t enough.  I had to read the whole chapter.  The verse was Romans 8:32, “Since He did not spare even His own Son but gave Him up for us all, won’t He also give us everything else? I wanted more.  And boy oh boy was I grateful for God’s encouraging and comforting word. Romans 8 is slam full with goodness!
When I read Romans 8:37-39 I thought, “He is The Real Super Glue!”  It reads:

  • “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Good news for us Christians….Nothing can separate us from the love of God!  Glory!
Lionel Richie’s song, “Stuck on You”, was popular back in the eighties.  I started singing those lyrics after I read about my “Super Glue/Stuck on You” God.

I’m stuck on you
I’ve got this feeling down
Deep in my soul
That I just can’t lose
Guess, I’m on my way
Needed a friend
And the way I feel now I guess
I’ll be with you till the end
Guess I’m on my way
I’m mighty glad you stayed

Yep, Lord, I’m stuck on You!  Thanks for “sticking” with me.
So I guess my point today is…allow God’s word to get you motivated.  Start your day with Him and keep Him close throughout the day.
I pray God’s abundant love and blessings for y’all.
