Thanks, Sandy, for the beautiful picture.

Stop.  Look.  Listen.
I’m sure you’ve heard these words since you were a little child.  Your parents would remind you of this before you crossed the street.  You heard that you are to do this before crossing a railroad track (especially if you rode a school bus).  You were reminded of this when you received your driver’s license.  These three words are no stranger to our ears.
Well, I want to encourage, and remind, you that these three words don’t just apply to road rules, but to life rules, and we need to obey them.  I was reminiscent of this when I read Isaiah 55, oh and one treasure from Psalm.

“Be still, and know that I am God!  I will be honored by every nation.  I will be honored throughout the world.”Psalm 46:10

We need to STOP doing whatever we are doing and focus on God.  Turn your eyes to Him.  STOP living in selfishness, greed, pride, etc…just STOP floundering in sin and give your life to Christ. You’ll be happier and God will get the glory.

“So you should look for the Lord before it is too late. You should call to him now, while he is near.” Isaiah 55:6

LOOK up to God.  Call on Him.  He is here and wants to communicate with you, and you with Him.  Don’t wait until you think the time is right, or you’re worthy enough (that won’t happen), or…is too late.  LOOK for God now.

“Come to me with your ears wide open. Listen, and you will find life.  I will make an everlasting covenant with you. I will give you all the unfailing love I promised to David.” Isaiah 55:3

LISTEN, did you hear that?  The Lord said to LSITEN and you will find life!  LISTEN and He will give you a sure, solid, unfailing, everlasting love!  He promises that.  Not to go all “Beatles” on you, but all you need is love, God’s love.
Now, we do need to STOP, LOOK, and LISTEN, and we may not (probably won’t) understand all that God is doing around and through us, but remember that He says in Isaiah 55:8-9 “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.” Just trust in Him.
Allow God to use you.  He has great plans for you.  STOP, LOOK, and LISTEN and you will discover a life of joy and peace.  “It is the same with my word.  I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.  You will live in joy and peace. The mountains and hills will burst into song, and the trees of the field will clap their hands!” Isaiah 55:11-12
I pray many blessings and much joy for you! Have a wonderful day. – Stephanie
