Here’s the simple lowdown from the Lord:
- Clean yourself up.
- I see you doing bad things. Stop it!
- Do what is right.
- Treat people honestly.
- Pursue integrity.
- Protect those who are orphaned or widowed.
- It doesn’t matter to me how “bad” you think you are, talk to Me. Seriously! Let’s chat.
- I can make you clean, pure, and whole again if you’ll just come to Me and let Me.
- Pay attention to what I tell you to do and good things will happen.
- Reject Me…you better watch out, your enemies are gonna get you.
This is where the Lord drops the mic on this stage of life, walks away, leaves you to make a choice, and waits for you to come to Him.
Run! Chase God down and stick with Him.
“Wash yourselves and make yourselves clean. Stop doing the evil things I see you do. Stop doing wrong. 17 Learn to do good. Treat people fairly. Punish those who hurt others. Speak up for the widows and orphans. Argue their cases for them in court. 18 “I, the Lord, am the one speaking to you. Come, let’s discuss this. Even if your sins are as dark as red dye, that stain can be removed and you will be as pure as wool that is as white as snow. 19 “If you listen to what I say, you will get the good things from this land. 20 But if you refuse to listen and rebel against me, your enemies will destroy you.” The Lord himself said this. Isaiah 1:16-20
