• Politically Correct. Ugh! We see it not just in this season of “election time”, but often throughout some politicians’ careers. What am I talking about? Well, imagine a question is inquired to a panel of candidates on a certain subject and you can immediately envision their minds turning wondering “What do these people want to here? And if I say this I will offend this group, or if I say that I won’t get any pledges from that organization, etc.” Trying to say the right thing to benefit themselves during that term of life. Ugh! I just want a person of political position that will do what is right for our country, stand up for the principals our country was founded on, and seek godly (from our God, not any other god) advice. (o.k., my list is really longer than that, but not for discussion here). Political Correctness is a copout. The chief priest and the elders of the people in Matthew 21:23-27 reminded me of this scenario. “They discussed it among themselves and said, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ he will ask, ‘Then why didn’t you believe him?’ But if we say, ‘Of human origin’—we are afraid of the people, for they all hold that John was a prophet.” So they answered Jesus, “We don’t know.” Ugh, again!  Get a backbone! We are not so different from politicians and the elders in Matthew at times. Stand up for what is right! Don’t whimp out on God. It’s not about you, it’s all about God.
