The first chapter I ever memorized in my life was Psalm 23. I’ve read it and prayed it many times in my life from the King James Version. In this morning’s reading I decided to read it from The Message translation. Verse 6 says, “Your beauty and love chase after me every day of my life.” To my mind came the thought of how we are in “The Race of Life” and God is pursuing us, and He calls out to us “Just stop!” Do you ever feel like you are running in fifty different directions and not really getting anywhere? Well, Just Stop! Be still and know that He is God. Ahh, it feels good to slow down.
