“Pick me!” “Pick me!, I want to be blessed!”
I like to be on a winning team. Admit it. You do too. Really, who says, “Those guys are losers; I sure want to be with them.”
You’re standing in a group waiting to be chosen to be on a team.  Whether you are chosen first or last, you get chosen to be on the best team. You grin a bit, gain a little confidence, and are imagining the trophy at the end of the season.
Before each game, the coach gathers the team together for a pep talk.  He tells them to listen to his instruction and follows his plan. He’s the best coach around! He has been there done that and is proven to be the “real deal”. He also reminds the team to just make sure they don’t get too arrogant. Be smart. When you let your guard down is when the enemy attacks.
Well, the team obeys the coach, practices constantly, and reviews the plays daily. The season comes to an end and success has come their way. Congratulations! Champions!
Do you want to feel this sense of accomplishment? Well, you can, and you don’t even have to be athletic to do it.
When you accept Christ in your heart, you are on the winning team. God chose you! Woohoo! You just have to do your part. Obey The Coach (God). Practice His ways. Read the playbook, bible, daily. Watch out; temptation is always lurking, so keep Christ in mind.  When it is all said and done, you will have a great reward in Heaven. Congratulations! You are a champion!
