Drink up?
Look at the two pictures. Which would you rather drink from; the stagnant swamp or the clean fountain? This is how Proverbs 10:31-32 compares the mouth of a good person and a foul mouth person.
God’s Word continues to say that “the speech of a good person clears the air; while the words of the wicked pollute it.” Again more visual imagery comes to mind. I found this picture that illustrates clean vs. polluted water. As you can see when you try to look through the polluted water you are unable to see past the mucky water that is filled with particles of who knows what. But, when you look through the clean water, you can see blue skies ahead and the water actually look alive and bubbly.
Which do you choose?
You have the choice of your speech and who you listen to. Be right and wise or be a troublemaker. Partake in perversion or find favor with God. It’s up to you. Make the right choice today.
