Have you ever met a little child who is being held by their parent, and when you approach them to say “hi” they bashfully lay their head upon their parent’s chest or snuggle their head under the parent’s chin? Most likely, yes.  The child finds security in resting their head on the loved one.
The security of a loving parent is comforting.
When I read Deuteronomy 33:12 this morning, I felt like that little child. But, I wasn’t resting my head between His shoulders because I was shy. It was because I found the coziness of resting on my Heavenly Father to be safe, calming, and loved.
Deuteronomy 33:12 says, “Let the beloved of the LORD rest secure in Him, for He shields him all day long, and the one the LORD loves rests between His shoulders.”
Friend, God loves you! John 3:16 confirms, “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
Allow him to take up permanent residence in your heart by asking Christ into your life. “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved” Acts 16:31.
Feel His protection encompassing you at all times.  Psalms 4:8b, “For You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.”
Have a blessed day, and enjoy snuggling up to God.
