It is not uncommon for me to go to the grocery store, with or without a list, and return home forgetting something that I should have bought. (It drives Tim crazy.)  I often run into someone I know and start talking.  Then I forget or get sidetracked on what all I am supposed to purchase.  But, if I was on a mission for just one thing, (probably milk) I would undoubtedly come back home with that milk.
The story of the Samaritan woman at the well continued today.  In John 4:28 it says, “Then, leaving her water jar, the woman went back to the town…”  She went to the well for ONE thing…water.  She went away without her original want, and came back with a forever need….Jesus.  Because of her testimony, “Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in Him…”(v. 39)
Knowing my track record with leaving items at the grocery store that I should have purchased, I can imagine myself in the Samaritan’s woman’s sandals. If Jesus were to run into me in the grocery store, I would absolutely get sidetracked and run home and all around town telling of what occurred.
You know what?  If you have Jesus in your heart, you should be running all around telling others about Him.  That is what He has instructed us to do.
So go ahead and live in amazement of Jesus’ presence. Tell others about Him.  (Just don’t forget the milk.)
Blessings to all!
