This is Holly back in 2008. Sweetness!

My oh my, another day of awesome scriptures in “Walk in the Word”!  I sure hope you click on the bible verse at the bottom of this journaling to read them all for yourself.  Good stuff!
Here’s a taste:
In Samuel, yesterday we read how the people wanted a king like everyone else.  Well, today they got one.  This is the beginning of an additional story on how we should listen to God and not get to “big for our britches.” It is the lead to a future story we will discover of a beautiful friendship.
In The Book of John, I could just imagine the look on the Samaritan woman’s face when in verse 26 Jesus declared, “I, the one speaking to you—I am He.”  She knew the Messiah, Christ, was coming and would tell them everything. Well, she didn’t have to wait on what she knew would happen any longer.  The Messiah was standing right in front of her telling her things that no one should know.  I bet her jaw dropped and her eyes widened.  Go ahead and read this story and see how you too, like the Samaritan woman will never be thirsty again.  In verse 13 and 14 Jesus said, “Everyone who drinks this water (from the well) will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” Mmmm, that sounds refreshing.
God—you’re my God! I can’t get enough of you!”  That’s how Psalm 63:1 starts off the scripture reading in third section.  It reminds me of the first line in a Lady Antebellum song, “Tell me have you ever wanted someone so much it hurts.”  Those words in verse 1 just make me want to jump up and dance for Him, then get down into His Word with much anticipation.  And, then we read the words in verse 3, “Your faithful love is better than life”.  It is! It really is!  God’s love is unfailing, exciting, endless, and real!
Finally, in Proverbs 14:3 it says, “Foolish words cause you trouble; wise words protect you.”  That’s it.  Period. So the old saying, “think before you speak” holds true here. Be smart in your word choices, not a “smartelic”.
Enjoy soaking up The Son in the sun.  Just don’t forget to squeeze His love out of you and onto others.
