Can I tell you something?  I am so grateful for God’s written word!  I read it and am reminded of His mighty power.  We can read about how He displayed His power through the many miraculous acts He performed throughout the Old and New Testaments.
In 2 Timothy 3:16-17 it says, “Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and useful one way or another—showing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live God’s way. Through the Word we are put together and shaped up for the tasks God has for us.”  No, these verses aren’t part of “Walking in the Word” scripture time this morning, but when I read all of the scriptures from today, I can’t help but think, “Wow!  I am inhaling God!”
We read in 1 Corinthians today about the importance of the Lord’s Supper and the correct way to partake in this sacred observance.  In Psalms, we’re reminded about the phenomenal miracle of the parting of the Red Sea and how God’s brought the Israelites out of Egypt. (I love that story!)  We are reminded in Proverbs how God created us all equal, and that our reputation and gracious spirit are worth more than all the money in the world. In Job, we are reminded that life IS only a breath.  So why not breathe in the greatest breath of all….God’s.  You can do this when you open your bible and read it.
Go ahead; open up your bible whether it is in paper for or an app on your phone, and take a deep breath.  Isn’t it refreshing?  No pollutants in that air, only pure truth.
You know another thing?  All those miraculous acts He performed in the Old and New Testaments are still being performed by Him today.  Open your eyes.  Take a breath.  Enjoy the new day that God has given you.  There’s your first miracle for today….He’s given you a new day.  What are you going to do with it?
Blessings to you!
