See this picture I took in the BVI. This is how I felt this morning reading God's Word. Ahhhhh.

Ever since I first heard of your strong faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for God’s people everywhere,16 I have not stopped thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly, 17 asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God. 18 I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance. 19 I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power 20 that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms. 21 Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come. 22 God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made him head over all things for the benefit of the church.”  Ephesians 1:15-22.

This morning when I read “Walking in the Word”, especially in Ephesians, I just sighed a deep and comforting sigh.  I commented on my Facebook wall, “I am refreshed by His word and grateful for His glorious blessings! God’s power is IN us. Ahhhh, be strong and filled with His abundant blessings today.” It is so true!  Paul was talking to the believers in Ephesus, but I’m going to claim that he was praying directly for me.
Just to know that someone is constantly praying for me is comforting. Then, when I read verses 17 and 18, I would stop after every insight and pray for that cause.  I so desire for God’s spiritual wisdom.  I would love to be intelligent in His Word.  Am I? Far from it! But, I sure strive to have the wisdom He has to offer.
I prayed that I will grow in the knowledge of God.  Give me more. Give me more! I want to know more about Jesus and all that the bible tells and instructs.
I read the words, “that your hearts will be flooded with light”, and felt all warm inside.  I desire to be a light for Christ.  I pray that His love will shine through me for others to see.
Power…SUPER Power….ULTIMATE Power…that’s God’s power, and He gives us His power when we believe and put our trust in Him. That’s hard to fathom.
You know me by now, I enjoy reading The Message translation.  Read it and tell me you don’t get excited about being in a secure relationship with Christ:

“I prayed, I’d think of you and give thanks. But I do more than thank. I ask—ask the God of our Master, Jesus Christ, the God of glory—to make you intelligent and discerning in knowing him personally, your eyes focused and clear, so that you can see exactly what it is he is calling you to do, grasp the immensity of this glorious way of life he has for his followers, oh, the utter extravagance of his work in us who trust him—endless energy, boundless strength!”

It’s going to be a great ride in the book of Ephesians.  I hope you will join me daily as I read through the bible.
Blessings to you!
