This picture of Cole makes me laugh.

Do you sometimes get tired of being nice or doing the right thing?  I think about “the kid” in class that has been so consistently annoying, or “the person” who is so negative and/or cruel, or “that mean girl” who thinks she has the right to be so malicious.  God tells us to turn the other cheek, to pray for our enemies, and to love thy neighbor.  Is it hard? Yes!  Is it the right thing to do? Yep.  Will God deal with them? Oh, yea.
I have friend whose daughter is now going through the lovely phase of having girls be mean to her. Ugh, ugh, and ugh!  I’ve been there and done that and know of others who have too.  When I asked my teenage daughter what advice she would give to her, she said “Treat them with kindness and don’t let them see you down.”  Amen.
“Kill them with kindness” is a well-known and biblical advice. Proverbs 25:21-22 says, “If your enemies are hungry, give them something to eat. If they are thirsty, give them some water. This will make them feel the burning pain of shame, and the Lord will reward you for being good to them.”
In the “Walking in the Word” scripture reading today, I read one of my favorite verses that I have to keep reminding myself of:  “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” Galatians 6:9
Whew! I have so used this verse numerous times over the past few years. It is a wonderful reminder for life.
So when you are tired of being nice and doing the right thing, DON’T GIVE UP God has great plans for you.  And remember…”This too shall pass.”
Blessings to you.
