Mirrors, windows, polished silver platters, water on a still lake, a waxed car, etc. are all examples of objects that will reflect your face when you gaze into them.
I have a magnified mirror in my bathroom and sometimes it scares me when I see my reflection.  Viewing my face in an enlarge setting is not always a pretty thing to me.  Each imperfection is broadened. And what about those unwanted eyebrow hairs?  Really? I didn’t see all those in the regular mirror. Oh my!
Well, those aforementioned objects aren’t the only thing that will reflect you.  Your heart reflects the kind of person you are.  When people observe your deeds and hear your words, they are getting a glimpse of what is in your heart.
In Proverbs 27:19 God’s word says, “As water reflects the face, so one’s life reflects the heart.”
I look at many people in my life; my parents (in-laws included), friends, family, co-workers, etc., and their life reflects their big and beautiful heart.   I am grateful for those big-hearted people in my life who encourage me examine my own reflection.
What does your life say about your heart? Even more, let’s get “up-close” and ask, “What does your “magnified” heart reveal about you?
Blessings to you.
