My gorgeous daughter.

The Proverbs 31 woman often exhausts me.  Really.  “Really?” is a question I often say when reading all the things that woman accomplished.  She is a dream come true for every man.  I will confess…I am NOT the Proverbs 31 woman.  Whew!  Pressure is off.  But, I must say that she does set the bar pretty high and all should take a good look at her.
I remember Holly’s kindergarten teacher.  She had high expectations for every one of her students.  Did each child reach her high expectations?  No, but they sure did their best and were challenged.  I may not have agreed with all of her teaching techniques, but she expected great things from those students and from what I could tell (in my professional opinion) those students soared.
Much like the students in Holly’s class years ago strove to reach their highest potential for their teacher, and themselves, we should strive to be the best we can for God.
One verse I want us all to start with is Proverbs 31:25b, “…she always faces tomorrow with a smile.”  (The Message)  Life does throw us some pretty crazy curve balls, but if we can just simply start each day with a smile on our face, people will notice and just may even wonder what you are up to.  When they ask, you can tell them that you are striving to live each day, the day that God has given to you, and praising Him all the day long.
Proverbs 148:1-6 from today’s reading says, Hallelujah! Praise God from heaven, praise Him from the mountaintops;  Praise Him, all you His angels, praise Him, all you His warriors, Praise Him, sun and moon, praise Him, you morning stars; Praise Him, high heaven, praise Him, heavenly rain clouds; Praise, oh let them praise the name of God— He spoke the word, and there they were! He set them in place from all time to eternity; He gave his orders, and that’s it! Praise the Lord!  Do you see that all things were created by Him?  All God did was speak, and it was done.  We should be grateful for the life He has given us and know that with Him it will be better.
Remember Psalm 118:24 says, This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.”
Smile!  Make people wonder what you’re up to.  Be a witness for Him.  Strive to more like Him.  Wow!  That’s setting the bar pretty high.
Blessings to you.
