Are you sometimes stubborn and demand things to go your way?  I’m pretty sure I have been known to be stubborn over a situation a time or two or three. J  And I have been selfish and wanted things “my way”.
When I read Exodus 7 and 8 those two words describe Pharaoh to a tee.  He was stubborn and selfish.
But what stood out to me when I read Exodus 8:9 and 10 was Pharaoh’s delay during an important time in his life. See, those verses say, 9 “You set the time!” Moses replied. “Tell me when you want me to pray for you, your officials, and your people. …” 10 “Do it tomorrow,” Pharaoh said.  My mind instantly went to think of the many things people put off in their life thinking that later will be a better time.  For instance, haven’t you heard someone say, “We’ll have a baby when we can afford it.”
Well, the occasion in my thinking is even more imperative than having a baby.  It is giving your heart and life to Jesus.  “I’ll become a Christian after I’ve had my fun.” “I’ll ask Christ into my heart next Sunday.”  “I’ll do it later.”
What was that saying by Thomas Jefferson? Oh yea, the quote is: “Never put off tomorrow what you can do today.”
Why wait to give your life to Christ tomorrow?  We don’t even know if we have tomorrow.  “But the Day of the Lord will come like a thief. On that day the heavens will disappear with a roaring sound, the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done on it will be exposed.” 2 Peter 3:10
This decision is the most significant decision you can make in your life.  I pray that you will give you heart to Jesus today and start living your life for Christ.  Trust me…you WON’T regret this decision.
Blessings to you.
