The complaint department line at I-Mart (Israelite-Mart) is much worse than the days after Christmas at Wal-Mart’s service center.
Those Old Testament Israelites drive me crazy. “Wah. Wah. Wah.” seems to be all they can do. What a bunch of whiners!  One miracle after another God performs to save THEM. They relish in His graciousness one minute, and then in the next breath they forget God’s glory and start thinking about themselves.
Wait!  That sounds too much like many of us.
I’ve been around people who look at almost everything in a negative light.  They often wonder, “What’s in it for me?”  Instead of making lemonade out of lemons, they just squeeze the lemon straight into their sour mouth.
I’ve been reading through the book of Exodus and observing the rollercoaster ride of complaining about and praising to God.  In a few verses it mentions how the Israelites looked up and saw the glory of the Lord.
We all, not just the “negative ninnies”, need to take that advice and “look up and see the glory of the Lord”. When we start focusing on God and all the blessings He has for us, we will take the spotlight off of ourselves and starting enjoying lots of lemonade, pulp and all.
“…see the glory of the Lord…” Exodus 16:7
“…the awesome glory of the Lord…” Exodus 16:10
Drink up God’s goodness
Blessings to you.
