I remember walking in the dense woods (at many ages, young and old) and having some type of tool in my hand to clear the way.  If the path was not cleared, I, and whoever else was behind me, could have possibly gotten trapped in or tripped on the tangled vines.
Its sounds a lot like life.  When someone is clearing the path for us, the way is less tangled.  It may not necessarily be the easier route, but it is sure that we’ll reach our destination in the end with a lot less bumps and bruises.
In Psalm 18:30-32 it says:
God’s way is perfect.
All the Lord’s promises prove true.
He is a shield for all who look to him for protection.
31 For who is God except the Lord?
Who but our God is a solid rock?
32 God arms me with strength,
and He makes my way perfect.  (He clears the path I need to take.)  (He keeps my way secure.) (He aimed me in the right direction.)

Let’s see….”God’s way is perfect……He makes my way perfect.”
Hmmm. God’s way is perfect because He is God.  My way is not perfect unless God is in it.
It sounds like God needs to be in my life to clear the path.  Oh yeah, I’ve got Him in my life.
It sounds like God is The Way to choose.  John 14:6 reminds us that, “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
Do yo have God in your life to make your path clear?
Blessings to you.
