When I read the words of David in Psalm 38:19-22, I couldn’t help but think about how Jesus was probably saying these same words nearly one thousand years later.  Check them out:

19Many have become my enemies without cause;
those who hate me without reason are numerous.
20Those who repay my good with evil
lodge accusations against me,
though I seek only to do what is good.

21Lord, do not forsake me;
do not be far from me, my God.
22Come quickly to help me,
my Lord and my Savior.

Like vs 19:  There were those who hated Jesus for no reason.  Maybe they were jealous or felt threatened by His presence and wisdom.
Like vs 20:  Those haters twisted the truth into lies and were evil towards Christ. All Jesus did was tell the truth, show love and compassion, and do His Father’s will.  He did good…They did Him wrong.
Like vs 21-22:  While Jesus was praying in the Garden of Gethsemane He felt burdened and apprehensive (Luke 22:42), but wanted God’s will to be done.  Then in Matthew 7:46 we see where, “About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” (which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”).
Have these historical mind-sets ever repeated themselves for you?  I can say that I have felt this way a time or two.
But…Just like this special day today that we celebrate, God’s glory will be revealed and He will rise up in us.
Rejoice! He has risen!  Allow Him to rise up in you.

HAPPY EASTER!!

Blessings to you.
