Numbers 8:7, “This is what you should do to make them clean: Sprinkle the special water from the sin offeringon them. This water will make them clean. Then they must shave their bodies and wash their clothes. This will make their bodies clean.”

For the Shuff household, spring break means a week away from the home. Most likely, you’d find us on the boat and beach somewhere.  Well, this year spring break has started off a little different.  I’m doing some serious spring cleaning.

It’s a time when toothbrushes become old and dingy fast due to scrubbing bathrooms. The walls get a good vacuum and ceilings receive a wipe down.  Yes, you read right, the walls got vacuumed.

It’s a time when things get cleaned that probably no one would notice except for me.

It’s a time when hopefully the only things that gets broken on spring break are my nails.

When I read Numbers 8:7 all this spring cleaning came to mind.

“Sprinkle the special water” reminded me of all the GreasedLightning® I used to make those bathrooms especially clean.  I believe there were parts of the bathrooms that haven’t been touched in quite some time.  The “special water” sanitized behind appliances and in the crevices and corners of all areas of the rooms, and just made everything fresh.

You may be thinking, “Okay, Stephanie, I’m happy you got your deep cleaning done, but get to relating this to the bible.”  Well, here’s what I’m thinking…

We all need some spiritual deep cleaning.  God is into some serious cleansing.  He can “wipe away” all your sins and make you fresh and new.  Isaiah 43:25 says “I, even I, am the one who wipes out your transgressions for My own sake, And I will not remember your sins.”

There may be areas in your life that no one can see or even notice, but God sees. Psalm 33:13 “From heaven the LORD looks down and sees all mankind.”  He will notice all the “dirt” in your life and use His “special water” (Jesus’ blood) to make you spotless. 1 John 1:7, “But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.” And when you live for Him, everyone will notice, and it will be a good thing.

Is it time that you get a daily cleaning?  Don’t just wait until spring time.

Blessings to you.
