Mendacious, deceitful, insincere, dishonest, double-dealing, lying, false.
Do these words just put a smile on your face or what? I’m going with “or what”.
Or what? It makes my stomach turn. When someone lies to me, or even when I’ve lied, my gut just gets a feeling of disappointment. It does so for good reason.
Or what? Lying makes me sad to know that I can’t trust the person that was dishonest with me.
Proverbs 12:22 says, “The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy.”
God is not the only one who despises being lied to. And God is not alone when it comes to enjoying an honest person. And..I don’t think I am either.
Nothing good comes out of lying. Just be honest. That’s it.
