Today has been one of those days that my cell phone has been close at hand. I warned my students that if my phone goes off, I will answer it because I had two situations to check on.  I had two loved ones who had heart procedures done today.

Grandaddy (Wayne)

My father-in-law had a pacemaker put in today.  Nowadays pacemakers are probably just as easy for a doctor to do as brushing their teeth.  But it is still surgery, and it is still messing with someone’s heart.  That “someone” today means a lot to me and so prayers were continuous throughout the day.
Then, one of my “other sons” (one of Hunter’s friends that I call my own) has had a heart issue for about a year.  Today, Christian had a heart catheterization and a biopsy on his heart. This isn’t in the plan of a seventeen year old active young man.

Christian

While I was praying for their hearts and doctors, God reminded me to pray for the hearts of those who truly need a heart procedure of the spiritual kind.
Praise God that both Wayne and Christian are Christians and have their heart right with God.  Even though their processes today were temporary and will increase their life on earth, there are those who need to get their hearts right so they can have a permanent fix for a life of blissful eternity.
What about you?  Do you need an adjustment of the heart?
In Ezekiel 36:26 God says, “And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart.”
Let God give you a heart transplant.
Proverbs 23:26 says, O my son, give me your heart. May your eyes take delight in following my ways.”
Give your heart God.
