In 1 Chronicles 11 it speaks of heroes.  These heroes all displayed great bravery.
I have been surrounded by heroes today.  Each one in his/her own right demonstrated courage in some way
Their courage wasn’t like the heroes in the scriptures I read today by fighting lions or killing hundreds of men with their sword, but in various ways on a less dramatic level:

  • Carrying young children on their backs just because that’s what the children wanted them to do.
  • Pulling weeds as tall as corn in a field, carefully wondering what creature may be lurking underneath.
  • Teaching children, teens, and adults how to sew, paint, or make jewelry.
  • Instructing young (and I mean young) moms and moms-to-be how to care for their babies and provide information about sex.
  • Cook and provided food for over 100 people.
  • Playing basketball, football, kickball, hula-hoop, etc. with kids of all ages.
  • Repairing buildings and rooms, electrical, plumbing, etc.
  • Telling others about God and His grace.
  • Simply sitting with a child who needed a friend.
  • And soooo many more tasks that were tackled today on the mission trip.

What all these have in common is purely sharing God’s love with all.
I couldn’t begin to list the names of the heroes I was surrounded by today.  But I am so grateful to be amongst them ( and maybe even be one of them) this week in Alabama.
Blessings and God’s abundant love to y’all.
