Don’t say, “I will get even for this wrong.”
Wait for the Lord to handle the matter.

Proverbs 20:22 is sometimes a hard pill to swallow.  We want revenge for those who do us wrong.
You see it in the media all the time.  People take matter into their own hands.  Shoot…there’s even a show on television called “Revenge”.  People thrive on the control, drama, and satisfaction of the possible outcome.
The thing is, are we really truly satisfied when we “pay someone back” for doing us wrong? Hmmm, some may argue and say, “Absolutely!  I feel so much better.”  But in the end, satisfaction belongs to the Lord.  Revenge belongs to the Lord.  In Romans 12:19 we read, “Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say, ‘I will take revenge; I will pay them back,’ says the Lord.”
So the next time you are wronged by someone, remember Matthew 5:44, But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you.”  You can do it!  Grin and bear it.  Grin and bear it.
If you are a child of God, He’s got your back.  That made me think…I may just have to jump on God’s back to hold me back at times, but it will be so much better for God to handle it.
Blessings to you!
