Me and my man ready to hunt some KY deer. They just weren't ready for us. 😉

God’s gone and done it again.  He knows just what to put on our minds and in our hearts at just the right time.
After yesterday’s post (Falling into His Arms ), God provided a precious conversation with my father-in-law, Wayne, and lots of quiet time with God while in the treestand.
I was able to share my thoughts from “Falling into His Arms” with Wayne and Tim.  This was even in the midst of a peaceful and honest talk from Wayne about how he is doing right now.  My thoughts and Wayne’s revelations fit perfectly together. He is doing well and healing in God’s arms. (Rejoice!)  He was/is an inspiration to me, and I’m sure Tim as well.
Well, today’s scripture reading had a recurring theme.  The verses just seemed to put a smile in my heart and on my face.
No matter what you are going through, or will go through, in life, take hold of the following truths:

  • God is…merciful, full of forgiveness and hope, feared (deeply respected), has unfailing love and redemption. Psalm 130:1-8
  • God is again…merciful and respected. Proverbs 28:12-14
  • God is once again…merciful, hope giving, all powerful, and faithful.  Because we put our trust in Jesus Christ, we are full of love belief, and inexpressible and glorious joy! 1 Peter 1:1-21

Can you just imagine me doing a “Jesus Happy Dance”?  Well, I am.  God puts a song in my heart and movement in my feet.  I fell right into His arms and He wrapped me with all the goodness mentioned above.
So I “got up before Jesus” (as Brother Tommy likes to say), in 15 (Yes, 15!) degrees weather to go out hunting with my eldest, and then again (two more times

Hunter and I braving the 15 degrees weather. Burrrr.

actually), in slightly warmer weather, with my man.  Did we have success today in putting meat in our freezer?  No.  But God has a way of putting things in perspective.  God’s word, plenty of still time with God in a treestand, and the conversation between Wayne, Tim, and I were just what we all needed today to start our Thanksgiving week off.  We are all ready to rejoice in our Heavenly Father, honor Jany in our hearts and continued traditions, and celebrate the life we have today.
Blessings and God’s abundant love to y’all.

I got to spend lots of quiet time with God here today in the area we call "Grandmama's Meadow"
