Each morning before I step a foot out of bed or even seek the face of man, I snuggle up to my man and start praying for the day, my family, and giving thanks to God. This morning during prayer time I got a peaceful grin on my face as the words came to my mind and heart, “Lord, Your word makes me happy. I delight in You each morning. I can’t wait to read what you have for me today.”
Ahhh, starting my day with God just makes the biggest difference in my life.
Then, when I read Psalm 119: 162 and 165 God confirmed what He had put in my heart. Look:
“Your word makes me happy, like someone who has found a great treasure.” V. 162
“Those who love your teachings will find true peace.” V. 165
Is that cool or what? God put the scriptures I was going to be reading this morning in my heart and mind BEFORE I even read it. Doesn’t that just make you smile? It does me.
Oh! Get this! Then in Hebrews 10:16 He confirms it yet again when the bible says, “I will put my laws in their hearts. I will write my laws in their minds.” The Message translation says, “I’m writing out the plan in them, carving it on the lining of their hearts.”
I am so glad that God put His word in me. I sure want to be filled with His goodness and not me.
