Yesterday a young momma I know posted a great picture of her mom holding her great trout catch, with the caption, “My mom is cooler than yours.” It was a great picture and a precious caption.
Today I came across that picture again and thought, “I wonder if my kids will ever think (or realize, LOL) that I’m cool, and brag about me like my young friend did about her mom?”
The thought came to my mind that one day, when they are mature; they will realize what a cool mom they have. Heck, I Bungy jumped off a bridge, for goodness sake. (Hey, don’t mistake cool for crazy.)
Tying it all to our walk with God, I have personally realized how cool, AMAZING, God is the more I mature in my faith. I wonder if God ever looks at us, in our “not so bold for Him” moments and think, “One day they will realize how cool I am and brag about Me.”
Allow me to brag…My Heavenly Daddy is soooo cool! He created the heaven, earth, light, dark, creatures, man, etc. Hmmmm, He’s pretty awesome!

- “I (God) form the light and create darkness, I bring prosperity and create disaster; I, the Lord, do all these things.” Isaiah 45:7
- “Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.” Genesis 2:7
The children’s song just popped into my head, “My God is so big and so strong and so mighty, there’s nothing my God can not do.”
