My mom posted this picture of my Grandpa West (her daddy) yesterday for Father's Day. I LOVED this man! He was a "Mr. Fix-it". How could I not use this pic?

Do you know a “Mr. or Mrs. Fix-it”?  I’m not talking about a “handy-man” around the house.  This is someone who tries to handle situations on their own.  Maybe you are one of them yourself.
I recently had a conversation with someone who had had a fallen out with someone.  We talked, prayed, read scripture, and still they said, “I’m going to fix this.”  I looked at them, pointed my finger, and said, “That’s just it!  You can’t fix this on your own.”
We like to be in control of things.  And when we lose it (in one way or the other) we feel anxious and try to discover a way to make it all better.  Well, why not discover it sooner than later that if we just will surrender ourselves and our situation to God and say, “God, it’s Yours!  I give this circumstance to You”, that He is like one happy dude.  I can just imagine God rubbing His hands together with earnest excitement and saying, “Yes!  Finally!  Let Me at it!”
When we attempt to “fix” things on our own, it may work, but it’s only temporary.  When we surrender it all to God and allow Him to handle it all, it will be a permanent repair.
So, you may know a “Mr. or Mrs. Fix-it”, but do you know the best “Mr. Fix/Repair/Restore/Done-for-get it”?  God is in the business of restoration.  Give your brokenness to God, and let Him be the glue that binds it all together…for good.
Then call on Me when you are in trouble, and I will rescue you, and you will give Me glory.” Psalm 50:15
I pray God’s abundant love and blessings for y’all.
