My husband thinks I’m crazy, but I absolutely love weddings! Every time I hear the vows being said, I say them to myself as a reminder of my covenant with my man.
Over the past three weekends, I’ve attended two glorious weddings. My nephew, Luke, married his love, Leah, and a boy I’ve seen grow into a fine man for the past twenty years, Adam, became one with his bride, Kaitlin. Oh how I pray God’s best for them and for them to keep Christ in the center of their marriage. Amen!
Well, as much as it makes me smile to see the little one’s come down the aisle with their basket of petals and pillow bejeweled with a ring, there’s even a more precious moment for me. As much as I enjoy seeing the “take-my-breath-away” moment of the bride revealing herself to us as she is adorned in a stunning gown, there’s still a more priceless experience that often takes-my-breath-away. When is the second that builds great anticipation within me? My eyes are fixed on the groom. I love to capture the moment that he sees his bride for the very first time. Priceless!
He was one giddy groom!

There is often tears of joy, eyes filled with giddiness, satisfied smiles, and deep breaths taken. THAT expression is what I look forward to. Luke and Adam did not disappoint me.
While I’m taking in this experience I can’t help but think about the look on Jesus’ face when He (The Groom) sees us (His Bride) for the first time on that Glorious Day (The Second Coming).
We often wonder how we will respond when we see Christ. But don’t think for one minute that He isn’t filled with just as much, if not more, anticipation as we are. Remember what Mark 13:32 says, “However, no one knows the day or hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son Himself. Only the Father knows.Jesus, The Groom, doesn’t even know when the day nor hour will occur.

The photo I took of Adam before he saw his love was one of nervousness. But as soon as he saw Kaitlin…Adam’s heart was overflowing. Notice how all other eyes and camera’s were fixed on the bride, not mine. LOL

I recall a Beth Moore bible study when she painted the picture in our minds of Christ sitting beside His Father in Heaven just rocking back-and-forth waiting to come get us, and when He hears the words “Go get her, Boy”, He leaps with excitement.
“Let us rejoice and be glad and give Him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and His bride has made herself ready.” Revelation 19:7 Are you making yourself ready for The Groom? It will be a spectacular time of rejoicing!
Wives, understand and support your husbands in ways that show your support for Christ. The husband provides leadership to his wife the way Christ does to his church, not by domineering but by cherishing. So just as the church submits to Christ as he exercises such leadership, wives should likewise submit to their husbands.” Ephesians 5:22-24Surrender to Christ.

I pray many blessings and much JOY for you! Have a wonderful day. – Stephanie
The setting was gorgeous, but the couple was more so. Congrats, Adam and Kaitlin.
