Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. Proverbs 3:5
It has been eight long months since we closed on our property. There have been many hindrances since July 31st, but today we FINALLY saw a light at the end of this step in the process. Tim received a text from our builder stating that the permits are ready. Ready!
Throughout this whole process, and we will continue until all is concluded, we’ve learned to trust in the Lord and not lean on our own understanding. That’s a good thing because we clearly don’t understand much at all. The remolding process is not like we see on a thirty minute HGTV show. We’ve also learned that “It is what it is, and it is WHEN it is” (Please click here.)
God’s got this. He knows the reason for delays. Maybe He is still preparing the family that will purchase our current home. (Interested? It’s a charmer full of character and love.) Perhaps He is still preparing our family for the changes that will be taken place in our older children’s lives. Who knows? God knows.
What I do know is…today’s news was one for celebration and hope. Prayers appreciated as this process still continues.
Hang on…I was just about to push the publish button and God reminded me that we may yearn and get giddy for our new earthly home, but the yearning for our heavenly mansion is abundantly more exciting. (There’s a whole other journal entry there.)
But they were waiting for a better country—a heavenly country. So God is not ashamed to be called their God. And he has prepared a city for them. Hebrews 11:16
I pray that you will enjoy soaking up The Son every moment of each day. –Stephanie
