Ooops, they did it again.
Are we so different from these crazed cows?
Here’s why I ask:  Remember when I wrote about our silly cows getting out of the pasture, not once but twice in one morning? (Click here to read about that day and the lesson that was presented about knowing your weakness.) Well, they did it again!  This time…it was much easier to herd them, yet the “hitchhikers” were considerably more copious. Bless them!
There’s no reasonable explanation for them to undertake the neighbor’s pine field, which is covered with hitchhiker vines.  I mean I feed them, provide water, and chat with them.  Their needs are provided. Oh, but maybe they are being enticed by those tall, and what appears to be luxurious, vines.
Maybe they presume that the “grass is greener” on the other side.
Again, I ask…are we so different?
God provides for our EVERY need.

  • And my God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

He feeds us, and provides water:

  • Jesus replied, “I am The Bread of Life. Whoever comes to Me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in Me will never be thirsty. John 6:35

He chats with us:

  • Call to Me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know. Jeremiah 33:3

Yet, we may be lured into a “luxurious” lifestyle or a seductive situation, to only end up getting ourselves into a “sticky” predicament.
Being tempted is Satan’s business.  Being tempted is not new to Jesus.  Being tempted isn’t sinning, unless you give in to the temptation…therefore putting yourself in a “stinky” situation.
Those hitchhikers will eventually be removed from the cow’s fur.  It just takes time.
When you walk away (and I pray that you do WALK AWAY) from a situation you are in that is distancing you from God, He can and will remove the sin from your life.
When the cows were in the neighbor’s field, all I had to do was walk outside and holler, “Hey, cows”, and they came running.
Jesus is calling you.  Will you run to Him?
Beware of enticing moments that are not good for you.

Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.  1 Peter 5:8

Have a blessed day.
Much love to you and yours,
Stephanie
