Yesterday was a day “for the birds”.  Literally.  While I was enjoying some time with Jesus on my husband’s barn porch,  “Tim’s Shack”  , a plethora of birds began congregating in front of me, eating grub from the ground. I stopped counting around 70.  Seriously!

I grabbed my camera and began clicking.  Once my focus was on the birds, I began listening attentively to the sounds of nature.  A woodpecker caught my attention.  Click.  A red bird came into sight.  Click.  The Kennedy Space Center was about to launch the SpaceX Falcon Heavy (the world’s most powerful rocket), so I tried to find an open view to catch a glimpse of it’s power, as it began to soar into space. Unfortunately, my view of the rocket was obstructed by a mass of trees, but a hawk was flying overhead.  Click.
When Tim got home, I showed him my photos, and he grinned thinking I chilled with the birds that afternoon. (I kinda did…for about an hour.)
Taking the time to Be Still was refreshing.  Listening and observing the variety of birds was calming.
You know…God does this.  He calms us, when we simply breath Him in.  Not only does He calm us, but He in turn listens to us and observes our every move.
The LORD also watches over and protects us.  He is our shield and place of safety. He is our deliverer. He will catch us when we fall.

Like birds hovering overhead, the Lord Almighty will shield Jerusalem; He will shield it and deliver it, He will ‘pass over’ it and will rescue it. Isaiah 31:5

Like an eagle when she makes her young leave the nest to fly. She stays close to them, ready to help.
She spreads her wings to catch them when they fall and carries them to a safe place.
Deuteronomy 32:11

I pray that you will feel God protecting you.  Embrace is hovering.
Many blessings to you and yours.
