Update on Landen:
Prayers are working!
This is a child was born without oxygen for at least four minutes, causing his brain to die in areas, which caused lesions. Along with other complications which occurred during delivery, the parents were told that he has sustained long term severe disability, and will be in a wheelchair with a possibility of walking. Landen did not have a cough reflex due to where the lesions were located on the brain. Landen’s parents have been exhausted and heartbroken, but…
Prayers are being heard, and they’d love everyone to know that he is progressing.
Here’s today’s update:
He is still being fed by a tube in his nose, they are repeating the swallow study today to hopefully begin oral feeding. He is not making the jerky movements anymore. He has good strength and is able to pick his head up and turn it when on his belly. The swelling on the right side where the big hematoma was is almost gone and that may be contributing to a lot of improvement as it isn’t causing the irritation to his little brain. All good signs. All the prayers are being heard and helping this little guy! Thank you!
